How to Clean a QLED Screen

If your flat-screen TV has accumulated so much dust and fingerprints that you must strain to see the screen, it’s probably time for a cleaning. It’s recommended that you clean your QLED screen regularly, but only if you use the proper tools and methods to avoid damaging your TV’s display. We hope this article, how to clean a QLED screen answers some of your queries regarding maintaining your QLED screen’s like-new appearance.

Using Windex on QLED TV screens

Windex is not safe to use on TV screens since it is extremely abrasive.

Windex may be used safely on older TVs; however, it is not recommended for use on LED displays because of their fragility. To protect your LED TV screen from the ammonium in Windex, we recommend using only water or a display cleaner designed for LED TVs.

Antibacterial rags, baby wipes, and hand towels are some of the harsh cleansers you should avoid using on your screen.

1.    LG

  1. LG suggests using a clean, fresh cloth to wipe off the display of your QLED TV. The objective here is to protect the screen from damage. Because a circular motion covers more ground with each swipe, gentle, circular strokes are more effective.
  2. Avoid using chemicals like ethanol, solvents, or benzene near the panel since they might dissolve the protective coating protecting it.
  3. Be careful not to get an electric shock by spraying liquids straight over your TV screen.

2.    Samsung

  1. It’s best to wait a few minutes after turning off the TV for the power cord to be removed.
  2. Use a soft microfiber towel to wipe the body gently and display it clean. When cleaning the TV, be as gentle as possible with the frame and the screen. A TV screen can easily break if you push down too hard on it.
  3. Spray some distilled water with your soft towel and carefully wipe the body and panel if that doesn’t work.
  4. Don’t reconnect the TV’s cord until you’ve ensured it’s fully dry.
  5. Window cleaners, soaps, scouring powders, waxes, and other cleaners that include alcohol, phenol, methanol, or acetone is very corrosive and should never be used.
  6. Avoid using anything rough, such as paper towels or scouring pads. Doing so may permanently harm the screen by scratching or removing the anti-glare layer. Never aim a water bottle straight at your TV.

3.    Sony

  1. Use a dry, microfiber cloth, like an eyeglass cleaning cloth, to gently clean the display or the body.
  2. A non-soap synthetic cleaner diluted (by less than 1 percent) with water will remove inks from oil stains on the screen. Gently wipe away the ink after squeezing the cloth to remove any surplus liquid.
  3. Caution should be used while using non-soap cleaners since their inappropriate disposal might lead to environmental damage.
  4. It would be best if you used a soft, dry towel to clean the screen immediately.
  5. Do not use a cleaning or detergent that contains abrasives.
  6. When cleaning a TV screen, too much pressure might cause the crystalline order to collapse, giving the impression that dirt is there. To fix this, cycle the device off and on again.
